Video game junkies
Liam and Aidan are getting in some snowboarding practice. Perhaps we'll need to take them to the slopes this winter for the real thing.

Costume B-Day Party
The boys went to a costume birthday party for Liam's best-friend Brando today. Tons of kids, fun, food, and cake. Liam went as Buzz Lightyear and Aidan was Mickey Mouse. Yeah these were both old costumes, but I was working on short notice and I was short handed with Amber out of town for the Long Beach Marathon. Brando was Gene Simmons, but he had no idea who that was, but it was a pretty good costume, and he scared half the other kids away.

"Our Two Lads" hits the Web
September has come to a close and boy was it busy.
Liam started school at Our Redeemer and he loves it. He has come a long way in just a month, he has learned to spell and write his first name. He loves to sleep though, making it hard to get him out of bed in the mornings in time to eat a good breakfast. But once we get him going and dressed he can't wait to get to school.

Amber started a new job with LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) www.lls.org. She is making a difference "One Mile at A Time" helping people do the unthinkable, to run/walk a full or half marathon.
Papa McCarty went on vacation to Visit Ken in Seattle for 2 weeks. He road the Amtrak again, and sound like he had a good trip, but the train takes 30+ hours. I'll fly thanks. They went to Victoria BC via ferry, then to Portland OR, and then tooled around Seattle.
I took 2 weeks off to watch the boys while Papa was gone, and boy did I get nothing done, it was all I could do to watch the boys and some minor house work. I had big plans for working in the yard and garage, but I guess that will come.
This weekend "Our Two Lads" had a visit from Grandma McCarty, we had a great visit and grandma stayed the night. Liam demonstrated his newly learned skills of writing, and had to of course show grandma his computer skills.
